Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

This policy explains what personal data Fairlux (“we”, “us”) collects when you use fairlux.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Fairlux is operated by MALDEN LTD, trading as Fairlux, registered in England and Wales under company number 11672272. Registered office: 20–22 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. MALDEN LTD is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy and is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration ZC165459.

What we collect

  • Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you give us and the time you joined. We use it to tell you when Fairlux opens, and for nothing else.
  • Basic technical data. Our server logs record IP address, browser type and pages requested, as all web servers do, for security and to keep the site working. Logs are rotated and not used for profiling.
  • An anonymous session cookie. When the search product launches, we’ll use a first-party cookie holding a random identifier so that outbound clicks to retailers work correctly. It contains no personal information.
  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate — pages visited, where visitors come from, and what they search for. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) and processes usage data on our behalf under Google’s terms. We use this data only to improve Fairlux; we don’t use it for advertising, and we don’t combine it with your waitlist email.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing.
  • We don’t run advertising or ad-tracking scripts on this site.
  • We don’t send marketing email you haven’t asked for.

Affiliate links

When you click through to a retailer from Fairlux, the link may identify Fairlux as the referring site so the retailer’s affiliate network (for example, Awin) can credit a commission if you buy. The affiliate network may set cookies on the retailer’s site under their own privacy policies; we encourage you to review them. We may earn commission on purchases at no extra cost to you.

Legal basis and retention

We process waitlist emails on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by asking us to delete your address. Server logs are processed under legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. Waitlist data is deleted or migrated to an account (with your consent) when we launch; logs are retained for no more than 30 days.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we’ll act within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we’ll note it here with a new date. Questions: [email protected].
